Scores of Israeli tanks invade al-Teira, damage properties of Palestinians

Backed by scores of armored vehicles, tanks and helicopters the Israeli occupation forces yesterday stormed into the al-Teira quarters to the west of Ramullah, inspected the houses and damaged them and installed road barriers and check points.

Meantime, four Palestinians were wounded including a journalists and two members of the Palestinian police during the Israeli army breaking in -- backed by tanks and helicopters -- into the two areas of Tel al-Hawa and al-Sheikh Ajleen to the south of Gaza.

A Palestinian source said that more than 40 Israeli tanks came out of the surrounding of Natsareim settlement and incurred towards the Palestinian general headquarters in Tel al-Hawa. the source explained that the Israeli forces detonated the headquarters and destroyed adjoining houses including the house of Youssef Miqdad, an officer in the Palestinian security who was arrested last week.

Meantime, the Israeli forces yesterday broke into Nour Shams camp in Toulkarem and carried out a vast mopping up operation and detention campaign, while the cities of Nablus, Sidon Doura and al-Khalil came under similar operations.

One Israeli settler woman was killed near Rimonim settlement and three shells fell at the gathering of the Israeli settlement in Ghoush Katif. Fire was opened at Israeli camps near Ghadid settlement.
