British Embassy in Sanaa blocked
Yemen-UK, Politics, 11/18/2002

The British embassy in Sanaa has suspended its consulate activities and closed its doors for Yemeni citizens who want to get entry visas to Britain, since yesterday. The embassy also stopped the activity of its trade section.

Meantime, Western diplomatic sources in Sanaa said that the decision of closing the embassy was made in the framework of the measures announced by the British foreign ministry in which it warned the British citizens in Yemen from hostile acts targeting them. The sources said that closing the embassy and suspending its activities is a measure which will only last for several days.
