Gulf foreign ministers meet tomorrow in Doha

Foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) will tomorrow convene the 85th preliminary meeting for the 23rd Gulf summit of the GCC leaders due to be held in Doha in December.

The participants in the meeting which will be held at the Carlton hotel in Doha will discuss several issues of concern to the GCC, including the GCC customs federation and travel between the GCC member states without passports, the common GCC currency and the Gulf citizenship as well as the main regional, Arab and international issues; foremost being the situation in Iraq and the Arab- Israeli conflict.

For his part, the GCC secretary general Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad al-Ateyah said that the ministerial council will discuss during its 85th session tomorrow in preparation for the 23rd summit of the GCC higher council results of the meetings of the ministerial committees which were held in 2002, in addition to latest developments on the regional and international arenas in preparation to draw the agenda of the summit.
