Iraq-Syria, Politics, 11/18/2002
The leader of the Kurdistani Democratic Party Masoud al-Barazani said on Saturday that Baghdad's acceptance of the UN resolution concerning dismantling of its weapons might postpone an attack against Iraq but will not lead to avoiding it.
Al-Barazani added in a statement to journalists upon his arrival in Damascus in a visit which lasts for three days during which he discusses with the Syrian officials, the Iraqi issue "I do not think that Iraq's acceptance will be conducive to ending the attack, it will rather postpone it."
