Sudan studies American measures on treatment citizens of certain countries
Sudan-USA, Politics, 11/18/2002

The Sudanese foreign ministry assigned its administration on American affairs a task to study the American measures concerning treatment of citizens of certain countries including Sudan.

The Sudanese foreign minister Mustafa Ismael said in a statement yesterday that Sudan is reviewing these measures and has the right to maintain similar treatment for the American citizens who arrive in Khartoum.

Othman Ismael, on the other hand said that restoring confidence between Khartoum and Asmara requires Eritrea's acceptance of having observers on the borders between the two countries.

On the other hand, Ismael expressed his hope that the Arab League will contribute, through sending Arab inspectors together with UN inspectors to Iraq to that the inspection process will be completed with transparency and neutrality so as to be able to lift the sanctions imposed on the Iraqi people.
