Maher talls Israel: Roadmap purely American plan

The roadmap is a purely American plan to be adopted by Quartet committee, "said Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher.

In statements to diplomatic reporters on Wednesday, Maher said if Israel has any remarks or reservations it should talk to the plan's designers and resolve any disagreements with them.

Commenting on Israeli defence minister Shaul Mofaz's rejection of the roadmap plan, Maher said if he (Mofaz) wanted to face the countries that presented the plan, it would be to him.

The Arab and western countries showed some remarks on the plan and these remarks are being taken into account and the whole plan is being revised, said Maher.

He said he is expecting that US Middle East envoy David Satterfield will present a new paper that has been drafted with the new remarks and ideas.

A meeting will likely be held by the end of this month to crystallize the content of the latest paper in order to be submitted in its final form to the parties concerned, said Maher, adding that Satterfield was expected to meet with the Palestinians on this score.
