Al-Kifah al-Arabi: A likely Arab summit expected

An Arab diplomatic source disclosed the Lebanese al-Kifah al-Arabi daily that the recent meeting of the Arab foreign ministers which was held in Cairo discussed the possibility of convening an emergency Arab summit to withstand developments and challenges facing the Arab states at the current phase.
The source said that the Arab ministers have not taken a final decision on the issue, and that they assigned the Arab league general secretariat in order to make contacts with the Arab states to discuss the importance of convening this summit.
The source indicated that discussing the convening of the Arab emergency summit came at the request of both Iraq and Qatar.
