Egypt's TV news sector chairman sentenced 18 year imprisonment

The Egyptian supreme state security council yesterday sentenced the chairman of the former news sector in the Egyptian TV Muhmmad al-Wakeel was sentenced of 18 years imprisonment under the charges of having taken bribes and having drugs.
The court said that the al-Wakeel was sentenced to 10 year imprisonment with labor over bribes with a fine of 10,000 Egyptian pounds and also a sentence him of additional five year imprisonment with labor for another bribe and a fine of 3500 Egyptian pounds and also firing him from his post. The court also sentenced al-Wakeel of three years imprisonment with labor over having drug items seized in his office.
The court also sentenced physician doctor Fakher Fouad of five year imprisonment with Labor and finning him of 5,000 Egyptian pounds for giving bribe to a state employees while the court found non- guilty the producer of the renowned Egyptian TV program Sabah al-Kheir Ya Miser ( Good Morning Egypt) Hani Abullatif.
On July 7th the state supreme security court arrested the said convicted persons following a report by the Egyptian audition concerning getting bribes for appearing in the "Good Morning Egypt " program.
