Saudi companies protest against al-Walid Bin Talal's monopoly to exporting cattle to Sudan
Saudi Arabia-Sudan, Economics, 11/12/2002
Some 11 Saudi cattle importing establishments from Sudan sent notifications to Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz and to the Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir in which they protested against the Saudi billionaire prince al-Walid Bin Talal monopolizing the exportation of the Sudanese cattle.
The notification said that the agreement ( signed between prince al-Walid Bin Talal with the Sudanese officials ) stopped the interests of several Saudi traders. A situation which forced them to search for the markets of new countries competing with the Sudanese exports including Syria, Jordan, Turkey, Australia and Somalia.
