Calm returns back to Maan

An official Jordanian source said that calm has been returning to the southern city of Maan in Jordan to which Jordanian security forces entered in order to arrest an outlaw group inside the city.

In a statement yesterday, the source said that the Jordanian security forces continue searching for other members of the group.

Meantime, the Jordanian minister of information Muhammad al-Edwan said yesterday that the special forces of the Jordanian army which entered Maan Monday at dawn will stay there as far it is necessary and until wanted persons will be arrested.

In a statement al-Edwan aid that the special forces of the army which are backed by the security forces are inspecting all houses suspected to shelter suspicious elements and confiscating amounts of weapons.
