Bahrain, Oman sign memorandum of understanding on telecommunications

Bahrain's telecommunications company Batelco yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding with the Omani telecommunications company to provide specialized services in the business sector.
In a statement, Batelco said that the joint project aims at providing services relating to rented international lines and networks as well as the Internet applications to facilitate E- commerce.
Worthy mentioning that Batelco is owned at 39% by the Bahraini government; 20% by the British "Cable and Wireless" company while the left percentage is on the Bahraini stock market.
