An American soldier died in the Kuwaiti desert

An American military spokesman said yesterday that one American soldier died of his wounds in one of the training bases after he was hit by a bullet during military training in the Kuwaiti desert.

The spokesman said in a statement that the soldier is from the second fighting contingent and died because of his wounds on Thursday, mistakenly.

A source at the US embassy in Kuwait said that investigations are underway to know the implications of the incident which took place on Thursday.
