All measures taken to make up for pilots strike, RAM
Morocco, Economics, 11/8/2002

Morocco's Carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) said Thursday it has taken all measures in anticipation of a pilots strike November 8-11.

The company said in a release Thursday it has taken all the necessary measures to fly its customers in the best conditions possible, adding that they can get in touch with RAM's call center at 090000800 for information on flights in the aforementioned period.

The pilots association (AMPL) had called for a strike from Friday 7h30 pm to Monday 8h00 am to protest the recruitment of a trainee pilot who does not meet professional requirements, has not undergone the necessary training, and did not sit for a national exam.

The AMPL also deplores in a release "RAM direction's systematic resorting to disciplinary procedures regardless of the laws ruling the company."
