Halevey: Toppling Arafat and Saddam within one year

Former director of the Israeli intelligence ( Mossad ) Afraem Halevey has considered that the Palestinian President Yasser Arafat and the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein will be toppled within one year as from now.

In an interview excerpts of which published by the Israeli daily Maareve, Halevey said that "within almost one year Arafat and Saddam Hussein will disappear from the arena." He indicated that the situations of both Arafat and Saddam are deteriorating continuously and this deterioration can be also seen by the leaders of the Arab states.

Halevey chaired the Israeli Mossad for four and a half years and he was recently appointed as a director for national security.
