Hamas confirms Cairo meeting with PA delegation

In a statement, the Palestinian islamic resistance, Hamas, said that it was agreed to convene a meeting between the two delegations of Hamas and the Palestinian Authority during the few coming days in Egypt.
Meantime, Palestinian and European sources said that the Palestinian minister of the interior Hani al-Hassan is making secret contacts in order to convince Hamas and the Islamic Jihad movements to halt the "martyrdom operations " against the Israeli civilians.
Hamas said in the statement which was issued by its media office in Palestine that the meeting between Hamas and the Palestinian Authority falls in the "context of our belief in the dialogue in order to reach common denominators and in order to strengthen national unity."
Meantime, a high ranking Palestinian official said that meetings will be held between two delegation representing the Fatah and the Hamas movements in Cairo by the beginning of next week." He said that "meetings" will be held between the two delegations and that among issues to be discussed are "internal and political issues, the question of national unity as well as 'operations' in Israel."
