Palestinan authority statement on deteriorated Palestinian conditions
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 11/4/2002

In an official statement yesterday, the Palestinian authority called on the international Quartet committee for accelerating its efforts to halt the grave deterioration and the "daily Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people and their lands."

The statement which was issued by the Palestinian news agency, denounced the grave Israeli escalation and inhuman crimes committed against the Palestinians.

The statement stressed that the city of Jenin has been witnessing a drastic shortage in water, and necessary food and basics medicine, while the Palestinian hospitals are not able to perform their humanitarian acts because of the shortage of all necessary medical items to make surgery operations.

Worthy mentioning that the Israeli army announced on Saturday that 165 Palestinian were arrested in Jenin to the north of the West Bank.
