Delegation of Russian Federal council visits Morocco

A delegation from Russia's federal council started in Rabat Thursday a six-day visit to Morocco.

The delegation will meet Speakers of Morocco's chamber of advisers (upper house of parliament) and of the House of Representatives (lower chamber), respectively Mustapha Okacha and Abdelouahed Radi, as well as several other officials.

Head of the Russian 4-member delegation, vice-president of the council, Michael Nikolaev, said his delegation's talks with Moroccan officials will cover means to give a new impetus to the strategic partnership convention signed recently between Morocco and Russia, and issues related to the parliamentary action.

King Mohammed VI and President Vladimir Putin of Russia signed the Morocco-Russia declaration on strategic partnership October 15, during the sovereign's visit to Russia.
