The Islamic monitor: Cairo handed Washington a Yemeni official
Egypt-Yemen, Politics, 11/2/2002

The Egyptian authorities have handed over to the US a Yemeni official, whose family accuses Egypt of seizing him, according to an Islamic organization which takes London as a headquarters.

The al-Marsad al-Islami (Islamic monitor) said that the Egyptian authorities handed over the Yemeni official Sheikh Abdul Salaam Ali Abdul Rahman to the USA after entrapping him to come into Egypt. The monitor stressed that Sheikh Abdul Salaam was arrested since October and he was interrogated by top security sides in Egypt and that the Federal Investigation Bureau (FBI) office was informed about this matter and then non- Egyptian aides investigated him.

The Islamic monitor added that he was exposed to psychological and physical tortures.

Meantime, sources close to the Egyptian security sides stressed that all these are baseless rumors.
