Ben Ali: No peace without attaining a just solution for the Palestinian question

Tunisia's President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali has stressed that peace in the region is not attainable except by finding a solution for the Palestinian question.
In a speech he delivered on the occasion of inaugurating a symposium on making a distinction between terrorism, on the one hand, and between Islam on the other, Ben Ali stressed that the double - standard policy is damaging international law and perpetuates deteriorated conditions.
He called for continued efforts in order to find out a peaceful solution for the Iraqi issue in the context of the UN and working for putting an end to the suffering of the Iraqi people.
The Tunisian president also called for establishing new international relations for cooperation and understanding to withstand poverty, wars, terrorism and to deal with dangers of fundamentalism.
