Low level of Egypt - Tunisia trade typical of Arab inter-trade

The current volume of trade exchange between the Egypt and Tunisia is estimated at $ 85 millions, says officials.
The two states are hopeful this figure would be boosted to as much as $ 300 millions a year soon. In statements to MENA, the Egyptian ambassador in Tunisia Mahdi Fathallah said exchanged investments between the two sides have recently witnessed an increase.
The Egyptian Arab Contractors Company has been awarded a contract to build an important bridge on a highway in Tunis.
The Egyptian Orascom telecommunications company has also won a Contract to build a mobile GSM network. The total value of these two joint projects amounts to $450 million.
