Qatar denies coupe attempt

Qatari officials yesterday denied rumors in the stock markets about a coupe attempt in the country which is viewed a likely base for launching an American attack against Iraq.
An official in the Qatari Emir's court described this rumor as "nonsense."
An official at the Qatari foreign ministry said it is "baseless." Diplomats residents in the Gulf region said they do not have information about any coupe attempt in Qatar.
Qatari people said that things seems to be normal in Qatar which was visited yesterday by the US envoy William Burns.
