Israeli forces renew violations of the Lebanese sovereignty
Lebanon-Israel, Military, 10/30/2002

The Israeli forces yesterday renewed their violations of the Lebanese sovereignty through violating the Lebanese territorial waters and airspace. Lebanese security sources said that the Israeli warplanes flew intensively Monday evening until Tuesday noon continuously in the airspace of several south Lebanese areas and the Western Bekaa carrying out mock and provocative raids over them and over Bint Jbeil area.

The Israeli naval forces also yesterday violated the Lebanese territorial waters off the shores of al-Naqoura town where an Israeli warship was seen escorted by a gunboat near the said coast.

For its part, UNIFIL observed the situation closely. A UN helicopter flew over the said area and run armored patrols from al-Naqoura to the west until al-Wazzani spring in the east, and through its positions along the said line by means of towers and large telescopes installed for this purpose.
