Two Palestinians killed, Israeli forces demolished 13 houses

The Palestinian youth Ahmad Anbas ( 16 year old) was killed by the fire of an Israeli tank in Toulkarem camp when he was with a group of children throwing stomes at the Israeli soldiers at the entrance of the camp, while the Israeli forces, backed by tanks, demolished several Palestinian houses in Rafah after breaking into the area.

Palestinian sources said that the Israeli forces escorted by 14 tanks and two bulldozers demolished and leveled 6 houses in the area under a random and intensive launched fire.

Meantime, the Israeli armored vehicles leveled large areas of the agricultural lands in al-Mighraq area near Natsareim settlement to the south of Gaza.

The Israeli tanks also cordoned six houses in Jenin and destroyed them by explosives without permitting its inhabitants to take their belongings out. The sources said that among these houses are the houses of two detainees Ali al-Saffouri and Abdul Karim Ewis.

The Israeli forces dug a trench around the city of Jenin in order to isolate it from other cities of the West Bank. The chairman of the Israeli engineering unit Ehuda Katourza said that similar trenches will be dug around Nablus to prevent the cars of the Palestinians from entering into Israel. Meantime, the Palestinian authority yesterday condemned Israel's prevention of several members of the legislative council from heading to Ramullah to take part in the session to be dedicated for studying the formation of the new Palestinian authority for winning confidence and this resulted in declaring the postponement of the council's meeting.

The advisor of the chairman of the Palestinian authority Nabil Abu Rudinah said that the Palestinian authority strongly condemn this Israeli prevention.

Abu Rudinah called on the Quartet committee to stop the destructive Israeli acts so as to preserve security and stability in the region. It was due according to the agenda of the council that Arafat has delivered yesterday a speech in front of the legislative council and introducing his new authority.

On Sunday evening Israel prevented 13 members including 11 from Gaza from heading for Ramullah to take part in the session of the Palestinian legislative council.
