Kuwaiti booklets: Kuwait sold Filka island to the USA
Kuwait-USA, Politics, 10/28/2002

Security director of Kuwait university, Hassan al-Rabei'a, has submitted a warning against two female students at the faculty of medicines under the charges of circulating publications that provoke unrest among students and against the US, speaking about the heroism of "Anas al-Kandari" and "Jasem al-Hajiri" -- the two young Kuwaitis who attacked a position for the American forces in Filka island.

The circulated publications stress that "Kuwait has sold the Filka island to the US and it will not announce that only after 20 years, noting that the government had priced houses in Filka and gave all people of the island lands to build new houses on it, and also cut the electricity from the island to force the people to evacuate and leave the island.

The publications said that the incident which took place in the Kuwaiti island in which one American soldier was killed and another wounded is not ruled out to have been fabricated by the USA.

The publications regretted the position of the Kuwaiti dailies concerning the incident, and questioned until when "we will keep seeing the US controlling every thing in our beloved state of Kuwait."

Meantime, the Kuwaiti authorities arrested a young man carrying written publications, attacking the US and Israel; and threaten to blow off al-Sleibkhat area to the west of Kuwait.
