Mrs. Mubarak heads EgyptÕs delegation to Arab Woman Summit in Jordan

Egypt's First Lady Suzanne Mubarak will head Egypt's delegation to the Arab Women Summit due to be held on November 3rd in Jordan.
ÊÊÊ National Council for women Secretary General Farkhanda Hassan said that the conference will discuss the strategy of developing Arab women during the coming five years and the achievements of each country in the field of improving women conditions.
ÊÊÊ Farkhanda Hassan pointed out that an intellectual symposium will be held in the Jordanian Capital Amman on November 2nd prior to the conference to discuss the Arab human development report issued by the UN development program and the Arab Fund for economic and Social Development.
ÊÊÊ On the other hand, Chief of the Jordanian delegation to the Arab women summit Laila Sharaf, spokesperson of the Arab Women conference, lauded the efforts of Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak for holding the first women summit in Cairo in the service of the Arab nation's causes.
ÊÊÊ In an interview with the Middle East News Agency (MENA) in Amman, Sharaf said there is a continued coordination between Mrs. Mubarak and Queen Rania of Jordan in the service of-Arab women's causes within the context of the distinguished relations binding the two countries' leaders and peoples.
ÊÊÊ She pointed out that the second Arab women summit would be held in Amman on November 3 to 4 under the chairmanship of Queen Rania and with the participation of nine Arab first ladies and 16 Arab countries.
ÊÊÊ ÒMrs. Mubarak will hand over presidency of the summit to Queen Rania,Ó she added.
ÊÊÊ The Jordanian official said a strategic proposal has been prepared for development of Arab women and it would be discussed at the Amman summit.
ÊÊÊ Egypt, current president of the summit, has been assigned to lay down the first draft of the proposal, she said, that will take five years in order to realize tangible progress in the social, economic and political fields.
