Yemen denies chasing al-Qaida members on the Saudi borders

A Yemeni source has denied news on that American planes carried out sorties and research operations for members of al- Qaida organization in the Yemeni- Saudi borders area.
The source stressed that these news and information which were attributed by New York Times for a Yemeni official is completely untrue.
The source added that the mission of chasing elements suspected to be members in al-Qaida organization, or others wanted by justice and existed inside the Yemeni territories, are carried out by the Yemeni sides, ultimately.
Worthy mentioning that the US New York Times had quoted the political advisor of the Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh, Abdul Karim al-Eryani that American reconnaissance planes are chasing, members of al-Qaida organization in the empty quarter desert and the Saudi- Yemeni borders area.
The paper quoted al-Eryani as saying that members of al-Qaida organization are moving in the Yemeni- Saudi desert areas and they head to north of Saudi Arabia to get financing and they are protected by the tribes of the border areas between the two states.
