Libya decides to withdraw from the Arab League
Sources at the AL said that Mousa will head for Libya within hours in an attempt to make Tripoli change its new position. Moussa had visited Libya in an attempt to calm down the anger of the Libyan leader Qaddafi who said in the celebration of September 1st of the Libyan revolution that he feels ashamed to be an Arab while the Arab leaders are doing nothing to confronting the Israeli oppressive policy against the Palestinian at the support of the US.

Al-Faisal denies differences with Washington: Our relations are transparent
Saudi Arabia's foreign minister Prince Saud al-Faisal yesterday denied the existence of any differences with the US at a time when foreign diplomats and analysts in the region stress that Saudi- American relations have been exposed to great pressures, but what the two countries are linked by interests that are much greater to allow a split by temporary differences.

Syrian- Saudi joint committee meet Saturday; economic progress expected
Meetings of the Syrian- Saudi Arabian preliminary committee started in Riyadh on Wednesday. This will be in preparation for the meetings of the two states' joint committee to be held in Riyadh on Saturday under the chairmanship of the Syrian foreign minister Farouk al-Shara and the Saudi foreign minister Prince Saud al-Faisal.

Lebanon asks for a list of its released citizens in Iraq
The Lebanese foreign minister Mahmoud Hammoud stressed on Wednesday that Lebanon had asked the Iraqi authorities for a list including the names of the Lebanese who were released according to a general amnesty approved by the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein on Sunday for Iraqi and Arab prisoners.

French defense minister in Saudi Arabia to finalize an arms deals
Saudi Arabia had placed conditions for completing this deal, including the investment of 30 % of its value to technology transfer and advanced industries to Saudi Arabia, in implementation of the economic balance project applied by Riyadh on its purchase of arms since the 1980s.

An Israeli boat off Khaldeh, Lebanon
In a grave military development, the first of its kind since the liberation of south Lebanon in May 2000, an Israeli gunboat was seen on Wednesday at 6. P.m. evening off Khaldeh coast. The appearance of the said boat coincided with the flying of the Israeli warplanes in the airspace of the area.

It was announced in Doha yesterday that the ruler of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Issa al-Thani will start as from today a tour that will cover Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia.
