Rafah: One Egyptian policeman wounded in a clash with Palestinians

A source at the Egyptian police said that one policeman was wounded on Monday during fire exchange with Palestinians in the Egyptian part of Rafah while they were trying to hand over weapons to Palestinians in Gaza.

The source said that a 20- year old Palestinians was wounded in his right shoulder by one bullet during a fire exchange that took place between a patrol and a group of Palestinians who were trying to hand weapons to another group in the Palestinian side of Rafah. The source gave no details on the nature of these weapons.

Worthy mentioning that the city of Rafah is divided into two parts. One is situated into the Egyptian territories and another is in Gaza. The source explained that the Palestinians who opened fire at the policeman succeeded in fleeing towards the Palestinian side of Rafah.
