National, foreign operators bid for development of five sea resorts in Morocco

Several national and international operators have placed bids for the construction and development of five sea resorts in Morocco.
The sear resorts are located in Guelmim (southern Morocco), Al-Jadida (250 km south of Rabat), Essaouira (450 south of Rabbat), Larach (northern-western Morocco) and Saidia (on the Mediterranean shores).
The economy, finance, tourism and privatization department said it received 22 bids from Morocco and abroad.
The offensive for the development of sea resorts was started last July, when the government signed an investment convention with Saudi Dahlan Baraka group providing for the development of a large sea resort near the Atlantic coast city of Agadir.
The successful investment dossiers for the five stations will be declared shortly.
