Washington Post: America vows to protect Israel from the Iraqi missile

The Washington Post daily reported yesterday that the administration of the US President George Bush had vowed to the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon to protect Israel against Iraqi missiles attacks if the US launches war against Iraq.
The paper added quoting American and Israeli officials that the US informed Israel that it will deploy forces for special operations to the west of Iraq at the beginning of any war in order destroy the establishments which might be used to launch missiles against Israel.
