Saudi Arabia wants the highjackers of Saudi plane to Iraq
Saudi Arabia-Iraq, Politics, 10/19/2002
Saudi Arabia's minister of the interior prince Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz has stressed that his country asked the Interpol to restore back the highjackers of the Saudi plane which landed two years ago in Iraq.
In statements issued on Friday by the Saudi daily Okaz, the Saudi minister said that the request to hand over the highjackers via the International police has not been seized.
Two Saudis, two years ago, highjacked a Saudi plane while heading from Jeddah to London and forces its captain to land in Baghdad.
On the other hand, Prince Nayef renewed his assertion that the Sudanese authorities promised to hand over Saudis who tried last Tuesday to hijack a Saudi plane which was heading from Khartoum to Jeddah.
He explained that the Sudanese authorities promised to hand over the highjackers following the end of the investigations which will help uncover how the highjackers entered the plane equipped with weapons through Khartoum airport.
