Putin, Chirac discuss the situation in Iraq

In a telephone call on Tuesday evening, the Russian President Vladimire Putin and his French counterpart Jacque Chirac discussed in a telephone call the situation in Iraq. The press office at the Russian Presidency said that Putin and Chirac discussed also issues pertaining to cooperation and coordinating the two countries' stances at the UN Security Council concerning the Iraqi issue.
