Sudan signs truce agreement with the rebels

The Sudanese government has signed with representatives for the main Sudanese rebels movement in southern Sudan on Tuesday an agreement on truce during the peace talks which aim at settling the conflict in southern Sudan.

The spokesman for the southern Sudanese rebellions Samson Kawaji told reporters that it is the first time in which the two sides sign a truce that avails the talks to continue.

Kawami said that the truce will be valid as from Thursday at noon ( tomorrow) and talks are scheduled to continue for five weeks and will be held in Mashakos., Kenya.
