Morocco, Politics, 10/12/2002
One day after his appointment by King Mohammed VI prime minister, Driss Jettou started Thursday consultations to form a government, Morocco's second TV channel 2M said. Driss Jettou had several meetings with heads of the popular alliance's three parties and leaders of three parties grouped in the socialist alliance, PPS' Ismael Alaoui, RNI's Ahmed Osman, and FFD's Thami El Khyari, 2M said.
Driss Jettou also visited his predecessor, first secretary of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces (USFP) Abderrahmane Youssoufi.
The Prime Minister had earlier met secretary general of the Istiqlal Party, Abbas El Fassi.
