Morocco and Saudi Arabia consolidate air transport cooperation
Morocco-Saudi Arabia, Economics, 10/11/2002

Morocco and Saudi Arabia, which convened the meetings of their joint commission last week, have decided to take a series of measures to consolidate their cooperation in air transport, especially as regards the transport of Moroccan pilgrims.

The two Arab states' air companies, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) and Saudi Airlines, have held sessions in parallel to the joint commission and agreed that RAM will carry all Moroccan passengers to Saudi Arabia during the pilgrimage season.

The two companies also agreed to coordinate efforts and agreed on two air-transport projects regarding air links between the two states and servicing European and Asian countries at competitive prices.

The Moroccan-Saudi joint commission was held this October 6-7 in Riyadh under the chairmanship of their foreign ministers.
