Al- Bashir calls for chasing the rebels, ensuring Sudan's unity

The Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir has recommended the Sudanese armed forces to continue fighting and chasing the rebels in order to liberate every inch of the Sudanese territories in the south and the east.

Al-Bashir was talking to the Sudanese army soldiers and officers in the liberated city of Tourist on Thursday saying "we are not war seekers, but when such a war is imposed on us, we will be ready to face it and we are fighting for the sake of peace." Al-Bashir arrived in Jouba city on Thursday and then headed for the city of Tourit where he inspected the city and saw the volume of destruction inflected by the rebels where the soldiers took part in the liberation of the city.

Earlier, the Sudanese president stressed that the resumption of negotiations between the Sudanese government and the rebels movement is linked to preparing the atmospheres and to abide by what was agreed upon in Mashakos and to halt the attacks.

In a joint press conference with the President of Burundi on Thursday, President al-Bashir said that signing the resumption of the negotiations will be on October 14 in Mashakos suburb.

Al-Bashir stressed the need of backing peace and stability in all African countries of the region especially in the "lakes" area, noting that this will be in help peace in Sudan.
