Israel continues provoking Lebanon
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 10/11/2002

The Israeli forces on Thursday continued their land and air provocation against the work carried out on the al-Wazzani river water pumping project.

Lebanese security sources said an Israeli on foot patrol was in a state of alert in the surrounding of the spring as this patrol crossed the line drawn by the UN in south Lebanon for 400 kilometers to closely monitor the operations of installing the pipelines and pumps working in the Lebanese project.

Israeli armored vehicles also moved in the area between al-Abbaseyah, al-Ghajar and al-Hammari.

Meantime, an Israeli AWACS plane flew at intermediate altitude over the sea off the city of Sidon and in the airspace of Southern Lebanon cities and villages.
