Moroccan NGO says legislative elections were honest
Morocco, Politics, 10/10/2002

The Center of Democracy, a Moroccan NGO, said the legislative elections held in Morocco last September 27 was "earnest" and hailed the administration's keenness to guarantee the respect of law. "His Majesty King Mohammed VI has repeatedly personally urged the administration to guarantee the strict respect of the law and renewed that democracy is a political and social reality while linking this to the modernization of political parties and renewal of elites" the association says.

While deeming that the process remains perfectible, the association welcomed the involvement of the civil society as observer in the polling.
