Al-Bashir: Sudan is ready for truce agreement with rebels

The Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir expressed his government's readiness to sign a truce agreement with the rebels movement in Nairobi and to return back to the table of negotiations.
Speaking to the Sudanese masses on Tuesday evening while celebrating the return back of Tourist town, al-Bashir stressed the commitment of the Sudanese government to its set conditions for which the second round of negotiations were suspended. These conditions are to halt the war and abiding by the first round agreement of Mashakos negotiations.
The Sudanese president stressed that fighting will continue with the rebels and the opposition until the liberation of every inch occupied by the rebels forces and will not stop in the eastern part of the country during negotiations because the eastern front located outside the scale of negotiations, while the south is not.
The governor ( Wali ) of Kasla, southern Sudan, Lt. Gen. Adam Hamid said that violent and fierce fighting is currently taking place in the old Rassai area and that the army is preparing to enter the city of Hamshkorib at any moment.
Lt. Gen. Mousa told the Sudanese daily al-Ayam ( days) in its Wednesday's issue that the Sudanese forces are closely monitoring the situation and are now mopping up the region between old Rassai and Khartoum- port Sudan road in order to protect citizens from highlanders.
Mousa denied claims made by the opposition on controlling Rassai position and blocking the road of Khartoum, Port Sudan- Kasla. He said that the opposition promote false news in order to terrify citizens, stressing that the road is safe and will not be reachable by the rebels nor the opposition.
