Three Jordanian trade unionists arrested over membership in anti- normalization society

Jordanian legal sources said that the State Court attorney general Col. Mahmoud Obeidat on Tuesday ordered the arrest of three trade unionists accused of being members in a "non legal society" which stands against normalization with Israel.

The Attorney General addressed to each of the secretary general of the engineers union Ali Abu Sukkar and two other active trade unionists who are Maysara Malas and badi al-Rafaey'a the accusation of " being members to an illegal society" which is the " committee on resisting normalization with Israel and ordered for arresting them for 15, renewable days for investigations.

Abu Sukkar was arrested on Monday while the two other activists arrested on Tuesday. The same sources said earlier that the authorities suspect Abu Sukkar on preparing publications urging to resisting normalization with Israel.
