Solana confers with Sharon, Arafat

The Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon has justified the new Monday Israeli massacre against the Palestinian in Khan Younis as for protecting the Israeli settlers.
The Israeli radio quoted Sharon as saying during the meeting he had held with the higher official responsible for the foreign policy in the European Union Javier Solana that the military operation in Khan Younis was necessary.
Solana said before his meeting with the chairman of the Palestinian authority Yasser Arafat that he was shocked because of the Israeli military attack against the city of Khan Younis, where 14 Palestinians were killed and 115 wounded with most of them are children.
