Mubarak gets a message from Blair

President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt on Tuesday received a message from the British prime minister Tony Blair relating to overall conditions in the Middle East region especially the developments of the Iraqi issue and the deteriorated conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The message was conveyed by the British foreign office secretary Jack Straw during his meeting with President Mubarak on Tuesday in Cairo.

On the other hand, the Egyptian foreign minister Ahmad Maher discussed with his British counterpart the current situation on the Iraqi arena in light of Iraq's consent on the return back of the UN inspectors on the ground of UN Security Council resolutions concerned as well as discussing the developments of the situation in the occupied Arab territories and means of calming down the deteriorating condition as a result of the grave Israeli escalation against the Palestinian people.
