Al-Qathafi son conveys a message for Lahoud
Lebanon-Libya, Politics, 10/8/2002

A statement issued by the Lebanese presidency said that the son of the Libyan leader Ahmad Qaddaf al-Dam conveyed on Monday a message to the Lebanese President Emil Lahoud from Libya's Leader of the Revolution Colonel Muammar al Qathafi concerning Iraq and the Palestinian territories.

The statement read that Qaddaf al-Dam conveyed a verbal message from al-Qathafi relating to contacts the Libyan leader had with his Arab counterparts on the situation in Iraq and Palestine, especially with the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. Following the meeting, Qaddaf al-Dam told reporters that col. Qathafi wanted to brief the Lebanese president, whose country presides over the current rotating presidency of the Arab League on the results of his contacts. Qaddaf al-Dam said that Lahoud asked him to convey a reply message for his Libyan counterpart.
