Peres in Mauritania today

The Israeli radio said on Sunday that the Israeli foreign minister Shimon Peres will start today a visit to Mauritania and then he will head for France to meet with the French President Jacques Chirac on Wednesday in Paris.
Mauritania established diplomatic relations with Israel at the ambassadorial level on October 28, 1999. The Mauritanian opposition and various organizations described these relations as "humiliating."
