Zeafi and al-Wazzani river waters

The chairman of the Israeli military intelligence Gen. Aharon Zeafi called on the government of the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon to exert its efforts to prevent the erection of new water pumps on the al-Wazzani river in south Lebanon.
The Israeli army radio quoted Zeafi as saying on Sunday "we are facing a new unprecedented development and we have to exert efforts to challenge it." On September 10th, the Israeli prime minister said that the issue of al-Wazzani river waters constitutes a reason for war against lebanon.
Last week he repeated as saying "we do not accept that Lebanon will pump any amount of water without a prior agreement."
