Iraq-Russia, Politics, 10/5/2002
The Russian deputy foreign minister has stressed his country's rejection to adopt a new UN Security Council resolution relating to Iraq.
In a statement to the Russian news agency Itar Tass, the Russian deputy foreign minister Yuri Viditov said that the standing resolutions at the UN Security Council concerning the Iraqi issue are enough, and that adopting a resolution whose requirements exceed the standing of the already taken resolutions to this effect is meaningless.
