Algeria: Five armed Islamists killed

Algerian dailies issued on Thursday said that the security forces killed five armed Islamists on Wednesday in mopping up operations in the two areas of Bumerdas ( 50 Km to the east of the capital) and Sedi Bala'bas ( 440 Km to the west).
The army killed four armed Islamists during a mopping up operation at the main quarters for the Islamists in Bani Omran, near Bumerdas, and another armed Islamists during an operation in Marrin in Sedi Bal 'abas area.
Despite the success of the most of the mopping up operations, the armed groups continue their operations against civilians, and one of these armed groups in Wadi Shurfa in Ein Defli ( 150 Km to the west of the capital) on Tuesday slaughtered 12 persons from two families including women and children.
