Al-Ahram Beverages Co. sold
Egypt-Netherlands, Business, 10/2/2002
Dutch company Haynkin has purchased Al-Ahram Beverages Company (ABC) at a total value of $284,967 million. ABC shares amounts to 20,480 million with a nominal value of L.E. 5 per share. Sold shares represent 98% of total ABC shares.
In his comment, Managing Director of Hermes, which managed the operation, stressed that this transaction is highly significant in underlining the attractiveness of the Egyptian market to foreign investments despite hard conditions facing the region.
