Russia, China for solving the Iraqi crisis through diplomatic, political means

The Russian foreign minister Igor Ivanov and his Chinese counterpart renewed in a telephone call their countries' stance which call for the need of solving the Iraqi crisis by political and diplomatic means and on the ground on UN Security Council resolutions.

In a statement yesterday, the Russian foreign ministry said that the Russian and Chinese ministers called during their telephone conversation for the need of quick resumption of the activity of the UN inspection committee.

The two ministers underlined the importance of cooperation between their two countries as two strategic partners in international issues.
