Al-Assad meets Abul Ragheb, Abdullah Bin Zayed

President Bashar al-Assad on Sunday at the al-Shaab ( people 's) palace received the Jordanian prime minister Ali Abu al-Ragheb. The meeting was attended by the Syrian prime minister Muhammad Mustafa Miro, the Jordanian ambassador in Damascus and the Syrian ambassador in Amman.

Discussions dealt with the results of works of the Syrian- Jordanian joint higher committee and means of strengthening relations between the two states in all fields.

Discussions also dealt with prevailing conditions in the region and the need of strengthening Arab solidarity under the current critical conditions.

The President also received in Damascus on Sunday the minister of information and culture in the United Arab Emirates UAE Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed al- Nahyan. The meeting was attended by the Syrian minister of information Adnan Omran and the UAE ambassador in Damascus. Discussions dealt with relations between the two states in the media and cultural fields. Al-Assad heard assurances on the good health of UAE President Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan al-Nahyan.

Also on Sunday the President accepted the credentials of two new ambassadors to Syria. They are the ambassador of France and the Czech. The ceremony held for that purpose was attended by the foreign minister Farouk al-Shara and officials concerned.

Then the president received each of the two ambassador separately and discussions dealt with relations between Syria and each of the Two countries.
